Veteran's Decompression Project
MarineLab Undersea Park will host a pilot program in 2026 designed to support U.S. veterans suffering from PTSD through a unique undersea wellness experience at Jules’ Undersea Lab. The initiative, called the “Veterans Decompression Project,” was proposed by U.S. Army combat veteran and Purple Heart recipient Eddie D. Bryant. The idea began after Bryant visited Jules’ Undersea Lab and saw potential for the space to support veterans dealing with PTSD, anxiety, sleep challenges, and other service-connected conditions. The program is inspired by results from Dr. Joseph Dituri’s Project NEPTUNE 100 mission, where time spent at a depth of 22 feet showed rapid improvements in PTSD, sleep quality and stress-related indicators.
