Recurring Monthly Donations

With monthly donations from caring supporters like you, we can do more good, every day. We can help feed more folks every day. Become a recurring monthly donor and support the Monastery of the Holy Martyrs and Orthodox Workers.  `
Our mission is very simple.  We feed folks!  The homeless and near homeless, the disenfranchised and marginalized, and the poorest of the poor.
Monthly donations mean we are able to budget our expenses and not work on a short shoestring, not knowing from day to day how much we have to work with.
You can also support the monastery and Orthodox Workers by donating blankets, gloves, sleeping bags, toiletries, hand warmers, and thermals, and dropping them off at the monastery on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday between 12 noon and 4 pm. If you contact the monastery we may be able to pick them up from you.
We provide essentials like food, clothing and shoes, diapers and toiletries, and many times a nice hot meal We help take some of the burdens off so that you can use your income to pay your utility bills, rent, buy food, or gas.
The greatest miracle is not raising the dead but rather it is feeding those who are hungry.  We pray to end hunger, but we also feed the folks who are hungry. We are not out to feed the world or to end hunger in the world. All we want is to feed one person and if that is a child even better.
Hungry???

Come, you who are blessed by my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world. For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me, I was naked and you clothed me, I was sick and you visited me, I was in prison and you came to me.’
Matthew 25:34-36

“The bread in your cupboard belongs to the hungry man; the coat hanging in your closet belongs to the man who needs it; the shoes rotting in your closet belong to the man who has no shoes; the money which you put into the bank belongs to the poor. You do wrong to everyone you could help but fail to help.”-
Saint Basil the Great, 4th century AD
