Hurricane Helene has brought devastation in the mountains of Western North Carolina. Once thriving towns no longer exist. Thousands are homeless and hungry. We all want to help.
VFW's across Western North Carolina are setup to help their local communities. Feeding and housing the displaced, feeding aid workers, acting as supply distribution points, and more. Dixon-Conderman VFW Post 2514 is collecting donations to support these Posts in serving their communities. Help us help them help our neighbors.
In times like these, we can not rely upon the government alone to help those in need. It requires community. We must stand together to help our neighbors, as we wish they would do for us if the roles were reversed. The VFW is #StillServing on the ground, assisting in rescue efforts, building temporary shelter, and feeding the volunteers as well as those who no longer have the means.
