“In returning and rest you shall be saved; in quietness and in trust shall be your strength.” Isaiah 30:15

Henri Nouwen teaches us to spend time in silence and solitude as a practice to know oneself and to know God. It is in this experience, we discover intimate rest that continues to inform our relationship with God and one another. Just as Isaiah 30:15 reminds us that in the quietness we will be strengthened, it can be a wonderful experience when we journey through silence and solitude in community. Though it is a virtual gathering, the half-day of silence will be a communal soul sabbath, creating space for us to hear from God and treasuring the collective journey together. Our hope is that you leave nourished and refreshed to continue your unique journey with God.

Our time will be unhurried and guided with contemplative prompts in the space you'll be sharing with God. We trust the Holy Spirit will illuminate for you where to pay attention and how God would like to minister to and care for you personally in our shared time. We are hopeful that you will come away affirmed, encouraged, refreshed with a deeper awareness of God's closeness to you.
