Comfort Closet

Each child (and oftentimes their siblings) that comes through our doors is gifted a bag from our comfort closet. These bags contain hygienic items like toothbrushes, toothpaste, soap, shampoo, condition, and feminine hygiene products if applicable. They also contain comforting items like blankets or quilts, pillow cases, and journals. The bags also have toys, crafts kits, and coloring items, as well as fidget spinners or things to keep an anxious, little mind busy/focused. During this time of year, we also provide back-to-school items like backpacks, pencil pouches, notebooks, etc. The children are so thankful for these items, as are their parents/guardians. As you can imagine, as cases go up, supplies dwindle down quickly. With your help, we can keep our comfort closet consistently stocked so that every child leaves our center with a reminder of comfort, hope, and healing.
