Co-presented by the Tennessee Innocence Project and the National Civil Rights Museum as part of the National Civil Rights Museum's Journey to Justice speaker series, this event shines a light on the causes, consequences, and human impact of wrongful convictions in Tennessee and beyond.

During this event, participants will hear directly from those who were wrongfully imprisoned for crimes they did not commit and learn what we can do to prevent future injustices. Through personal stories and expert insights, this conversation will explore how wrongful convictions happen, what systemic reforms are needed, and why this fight is central to the pursuit of civil rights and human dignity.
