Brother Gutierrez
Brother Gutierrez suffered a stroke in mid-July 2025. Unlike many others in similar situations, he has depended solely on the support of his family and close friends. He received only a modest salary as the groundskeeper of a faith-based training center—an income far too small to sustain him in a third-world country. Yet, through it all, God has continued to care for him.
Brother Gutierrez has lived as a true missionary, faithfully walking, hiking, and driving through the mountainous regions of Roatán to preach the gospel, teach Bible studies, and pastor a local church. He has often provided rides for others to and from church. Unlike most missionaries, he was never officially sent or backed by a sponsoring organization. But his testimony speaks volumes—God clearly called him for a purpose.
While living in Houston, Texas, Brother Gutierrez was unexpectedly detained by immigration authorities and deported to Honduras—a country he hadn’t returned to since his youth. At the time of his deportation, he was already in his early 60s.
Now in his late 70s, one might expect him to slow down, but his commitment has not wavered. He remains thankful to God in all circumstances. Many in Honduras testify of his tireless evangelistic ministry, although he humbly sees himself as simply sharing the gospel and shepherding those in need.
This platform exists to serve as a channel for financial support—helping cover his medical expenses and allowing us to express love and gratitude for a man of God who has given his life in service to others.
