The Acorn School will be hosting a meal drive to provide low to moderate income City of Boulder resident families a meal kit. We are asking our Acorn Community to provide donations and volunteer to help provide a complete meal to 50 families! Harvest of Hope, EFFA, and Community Food Shares will help promote the event.

We have set a fundraising goal of $1000 to cover the cost of 50 meal kits for 4 to 6 people. If we raise more than our goal we will donate additional proceeds to Harvest of Hope, EFFA, and Community Food Shares.

We are also asking for donations of cookies to include with the meal kits, and ask that those be provided before noon on 12/17. We are asking parents and teachers to consider volunteering to package meals on 12/17 and help with meal pickup on 12/18.

Meal Kit Includes (serves 4 to 6 people)

Whole Chicken

3 lbs potatoes

1 lb baby carrots

1 onion

1 Lemon

¼ lb butter

Gravy packet

6 dinner rolls

Homemade cookies
