OUTLoud Inc. Marathon County LGBTQ+ Center, a new non-profit in Wausau, is excited to invite you to become a corporate supporter. Our mission is to provide a safe, inclusive, and enjoyable space for members of the LGBTQ+ community and their allies to gather, socialize, and celebrate their identities. Why here?

The 2021 Marathon County Life Report is a data-driven depiction about the quality of life in Marathon County. This report showed the following data[1]:

Students who identified as LGBTQ+ were twice as likely to report having significant problems with anxiety than their non-LGBTQ+ peers.
Students who identified as LGBTQ+ were nearly 2.5 times more likely to report feeling depressed than their non-LGBTQ+ peers.
Students that identified as LGBTQ+ were nearly four times more likely to consider suicide than their non-LGBTQ+ peers.

By connecting with other LGBTQ+ people, individuals can form lasting relationships and create networks of support that can be invaluable throughout their lives.

Having a safe, inclusive space is our #1 priority. By controlling access to these spaces, we can ensure that everyone feels safe and protected and are free to share their experiences. We have an all-volunteer board and staff, and we work to operate at minimal cost as we continue to grow. Sustaining donors and partners are vital to grow and sustain this mission.
