For nearly four decades, HCA has been advocating for and creating affordable housing, supporting families with services, and engaging community members to raise awareness about the importance of safe, decent, affordable homes for all. This year the beloved walk returns -- and promises to be a celebration of our collective achievements and a recommitment to the cause. With your support, we can continue to make a positive impact in our community and work towards a future where everyone has access to beautiful, safe affordable housing. Let's walk together towards a brighter future!

The day will include food, music, games, a raffle, and a 3-mile walk* along Mass Ave to bring attention to the importance of affordable housing in Arlington!

Why do we walk?
As we all know, affordable housing is a fundamental need and a basic human right. Unfortunately, many families and individuals in Arlington and beyond are struggling to find a safe and affordable place to call home. The ongoing housing crisis has only exacerbated this issue, leaving countless people at risk of homelessness, displacement, and financial instability.

Housing Corporation of Arlington owns and leases 150 affordable apartments throughout the town, and we have 43 more units in our pipeline! But the need is great. When you give and when you walk with us, you help create more homes that are not at the mercy of the speculative real estate market. It will enable us to acquire more existing apartments and make them permanently affordable, and buy new pieces of land to create new buildings of affordable homes.

You will also support our social services that help families remain stable and strong by connecting them with financial and other resources, and our work to engage local tenants and other residents in decision making processes that affect their lives. Join us today!!
