Press On has been a part of my life since 2019, when I first joined the organization as a mentor in the inaugural Freedomways Fellowship. We have come a long way since then and weathered many storms, but none like the threats we are all experiencing today under the Trump administration. As activists and journalists are targeted for their work and as the administration attempts to erase our histories and make the United States as hostile as possible to the communities we encompass and serve, it's imperative that we continue to build a movement journalism infrastructure in the South. We must continue telling our stories and I'm fundraising for Press On because I know the organization will continue to play a critical role in this mission.
