We are writing to request a donation to help homeless individuals access virtual medical care in our region. As you are aware, homelessness is a complex issue that affects individuals from all walks of life, and access to healthcare is a major challenge for this population. Our charity clinic seeks to address this issue on a deeper level with more commitment and resources than we have in the past. Our plan is to expand services and simultaneously partner with a software company that will offer a free user-friendly software app platform that connects homeless individuals with virtual medical care providers. We are also partnering with other local charities for expanded access to medical care.

When facing long-term hardship, illness, and debility, access to medical care becomes paramount. Some of the main challenges we have identified include transportation, lack of information, and difficulty navigating our healthcare system. Our software partnership aims to address these challenges by providing a convenient and accessible platform that allows homeless and other disadvantage individuals to connect with medical care providers from anywhere at any time.

Our team at Free Clinic Newton has partnered with a new software technology company that will be donating their expertise, software, and support. The company is a physician run company; the depth of knowledge, experience, and commitment to medical care for people from all backgrounds is the foundation of a new strong partnership. We wish to raise funds to grow our free clinic in order to support the homeless with the equipment, cell phones including wireless plans, and training to enable them to access virtual medical care on a high quality medical platform.

We aim to enroll those with health, mental health, and other social problems into our new medical app system, for preventative counseling, therapy, and rehabilitation.

Our physicians and other licensed providers can participate free of charge, and their identity is guaranteed through a secure, HIPPA protected, single sign on service. For those who wish to log on and get care, the services are free, private, with referral to brick and mortar medical facilities as needed, including the free services at Free Clinic Newton and other local healthcare facilities.

We will use the funding to provide free phones, free wireless service, and access to the best mental health, social work, community health, substance abuse, general medical, and specialty care providers in our region and beyond. Any licensed healthcare provider can engage on the platform using a secure single sign on in a HIPPA protected secure environment. The patient's own providers will be encourged to participate for continuity of care. Family members and caregivers can access the platform, with the appropriate consent from the patients, to provide needed support and logistics. There are no fees charged for the charity patients and no insurance is billed.

We anticipate that the augmented level of care will have a significant impact on health and well-being of homeless individuals in our community and beyond. We believe that the software has the potential to be transformative in the way healthcare is delivered to this vulnerable population, and in other populations. We hope to help others to rise up out of poverty. We are open to employment considerations in the associated non-profit businesses that are part of the endeavor for those who demonstrate an interest and want to pay it forward.

We are seeking funding in amount of $500,000 at this time to support the thousands of individuals affected by homelessness and medical illness in our community. Your donation of any size will help us achieve our mission.

The funding will be used to cover the cost of iPhones or other mobile phones, cellular service, staff salaries to support the education, enrollment, and implementation of the platform. Additionally, funding will be used to expand the scope, services, available medications, labs, radiology testing, and staffing support of Free Clinic Newton.
