Boys-Basketball IGD24's Story

Irish Boys Basketball is among the most storied and successful programs in South Jersey, and the state. The team has a bright future ahead, finishing among the top 10 in South Jersey in 2024 with only one returning starter from 2023. On and off the floor Camden Catholic basketball teaches life lessons and drives home the points of being a good person. Head coach Matt Crawford has won 208 games in just 11 seasons as the varsity coach. Eight of his teams have won over 20 games and been ranked in the top 10 of South Jersey. Camden Catholic has won the Olympic Conference and the sportsmanship award three times under his guidance. Matt recently led us to the South Jersey Championship game three consecutive years. Coach Jim Crawford and Coach Joe Murtin have totaled over 1200 wins together during their tenure at Camden Catholic. Coach Crawford has been named South Jersey Coach of the Year 5 times. Joe Murtin is the first coach in state history with 500 JV victories.
