The Swedish Council of St. Louis (SCSL) organizes many cultural events for the benefit of the public and the members of the SCSL. We have annual gatherings throughout the year that celebrate the holidays as it is celebrated in Sweden. For example, the Midsommar Fest in June and the Lucia performance in December are held to engage and inspire younger and older native Swedes and people with Swedish heritage or interests, in Swedish culture, traditions, and customs. Throughout the year the council invites guest speakers and various authors to share information about Sweden’s impact on America; past, present, and future.
