VAST Food Drive

This November, The Village Alliance of the Southern Tier (VAST) is raising funds to support the Community Hunger Outreach Warehouse (CHOW®), a Broome County network that makes emergency food available to people experiencing food insecurity.

Every dollar matters. CHOW can turn $1 into up to 5 meals, helping them continue serving over 120 food pantries, meal sites, and residential programs throughout our community. In 2024 alone, CHOW distributed over 3.8 million pounds of food and rescued 3.25 million pounds from going to landfills—redirecting it to families who need it most.

Your contribution here directly supports CHOW’s mission by funding:
• Essential pantry staples (beans, rice, pasta, soups, canned meats, fruit cups, cereal)
• Hygiene items (feminine products, toilet paper, baby supplies)
• Shelf-stable boxed milk and other high-demand essentials
• Local food recovery and distribution efforts that keep our neighbors fed

If you’re unable to donate physical items your monetary gift ensures CHOW can purchase exactly what local families need most.

Thank you for helping us fight hunger in Broome County and supporting this vital community resource.
