How long have you been in Charlotte? I’ve been in Charlotte all my life! I’m a true Charlotte native!
What do you love about Charlotte? I love the culture of Charlotte! I love the growth and expansion that’s happening all over the city! Charlotte just feels like HOME!
What inspires you to give back? As a child, growing up in the Historic West End part of Charlotte giving back was just what we did! Not because someone asked us to or because we were forced to. We gave back because it was in our hearts to make someone else smile! As a child I remember my family going through the clothes that we could no longer wear and donating them to the Salvation Army which was right up the street from where we lived. My mom worked in the school system as a parent advocate, helping families in need. As a family we did what we could to help other families. To me giving back inspires the community and builds the village that every child needs!
What’s your favorite pastime/thing to do in Charlotte?Childhood Favorite: Going downtown for the 4th of July to see the Fireworks! Tradewinds Skating Rink off Central Ave!!! Those were the days!! Adulthood Favorite: Riding Scooters with my family through NODA and South End!
