We’ll be making her famous Chocolate Wacky Cake with Chocolate Frosting: a one-bowl wonder that comes together using pantry staples. This incredibly delicious recipe, sans frosting, is dairy-free and vegan!

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

Chocolate Cake:

1½ cups all-purpose flour
1 cup light (or dark) brown sugar
⅓ cup Dutch process cocoa powder
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp fine sea salt
1 cup ice water
2 tsp pure-vanilla extract
1 Tbsp white vinegar
6 Tbsp vegetable oil

Icing:

14 Tbsp unsalted butter, room temperature
3½ cups confectioners’ sugar
1 cup Dutch process cocoa powder
½ to ⅔ cup heavy cream, or milk
¼ tsp table salt
1 Tbsp vanilla extract
Rainbow sprinkles for decorating, optional, but highly encouraged
