When I first caught wind of Mr. Okorie's project with the "Thank You Project" foundation, I was overwhelmed with upset. Upset at the fact that fellow human beings did not have access to water. Upset that women were charged with the responsibility of walking long, arduous terrains to gather that water, and then charged with the infinitely more difficult task of walking the long way back; and upset at the fact that in an era of hyper-modern industrialization we still haven't found a way to make sure everyone has water! Water is our very vitality! I'm fundraising because I believe in the power of humanity to transcend physical boundaries, and transcend the boundaries of what it means to establish humanitarian aid-and i'm fundraising to give-we all have more than we need, we all have a little to spare, so lets make a difference for the strangers we have yet to call friends!
