Water is Life. Agua es la vida. Nibi wabo. Different languages say the same: we are the health of our water. In body, in community, and in our relations with the earth, we depend entirely on its sustenance. The serenity and peace we feel close to water is embedded in our cells. To protect and tend to our rivers, lakes, and oceans is a natural service. 🩵 I’m joining with Water 4 Life in support of the work they do around Lake Atitlan, where Mayan indigenous ways thrive despite the global odds. This land is lush and generous, the waters feeding vital heritages and delicious (heavily exported) fruits. Many waterways are littered with trash, and stench in places. Some days the water runs at a trickle, or won’t work for days in parts of the villages. 💧 Clean water is a core tenet of public health. In supporting the work water Water4Life does, we pay forward a hope to leave the earth and her waters better than we found them.
Jenna Angel, thank you so much for your continuous support, even starting back in 2019 when we started! You're the best!!
