Water is Life, Education is Power
Help Bring Water to Schools in Uganda
Access to clean water is not just a necessity—it’s a lifeline. In Uganda, too many schools lack access to clean water and proper sanitation facilities, leaving young girls to face an unimaginable choice: endure the stigma and challenges of menstruation at school without the resources they need, or stay home and fall behind in their education.
During my time working with young girls, I witnessed the impact of this crisis firsthand. While teaching about menstruation and distributing reusable sanitary pads, I saw schools with no running water, no restrooms, and no privacy for girls to manage their cycles. These barriers force countless girls to miss school during their periods, disrupting their education and dimming their future prospects.
That’s why we launched the Water for Education project—an initiative designed to install rainwater harvesting systems and improve sanitation facilities in Ugandan schools.
Every day a girl misses school because of menstruation is a missed opportunity to learn, grow, and pursue her dreams. With your support, we can change that.
Your donation helps us:
