Since 2017, I've proudly served on the West End Arts District board, helping transform our community through colorful public spaces, stunning murals, and free festivals accessible to everyone. Among our many projects, my personal favorite is the Webster Gateway Mural – completed in 2021 and currently Alameda's largest mural.
Looking ahead to 2025, we're developing "In Plain Site," an innovative outdoor photography exhibition that will be part of a year-long climate arts initiative. However, as we approach our 10th anniversary milestone, we face a critical challenge: the loss of our largest funding source in 2024. To continue our ambitious mission of bringing arts to our community, we urgently need increased public support to bridge this funding gap.
