Living Earth School has seen a significant increase in financial aid needs this year, particularly during our summer season. Typically we provide between $25,000–$30,000 in donor-supported aid to support connecting children and youth to nature. This year, the need has nearly doubled.

At this moment, we are no longer able to meet the financial needs of our wider community to support access to our nature connection programs. We know many families are facing financial strain, while at the same time, young people deeply need opportunities for connection, confidence, adventure, and time outdoors.

For more than two decades, helping people build lasting relationships with the natural world, themselves, and one another has been at the heart of what we do at LES. One of the primary reasons LES became a nonprofit was to ensure that more children, teens and adults could access these life-changing experiences in nature, regardless of their financial circumstances. This moment is calling us to rise to that commitment.
