WE ARE NOT OKAY

As we approach our 14th Anniversary, we find ourselves reflecting on a heartbreaking truth: despite every ounce of effort, the situation for homeless dogs remains painfully dire. Since we opened our doors in 2011, we’ve fought tirelessly to save lives—to give dogs a second chance. But the harsh reality is that the needle has barely moved.

Before the pandemic, there was hope. Adoption numbers were climbing, and fundraising was more sustainable. But by 2022, the tides turned. Shelters across the country saw an overwhelming influx of dogs, and euthanasia rates soared to levels we hadn’t seen in decades. Then came the financial strain—2023 hit nonprofits hard, and like so many others, we were affected. Grants vanished, donor giving slowed, and corporate partnerships dwindled. For us, that meant more dogs needing rescue, but fewer homes and fewer dollars to support them. We've had no choice but to board many of the dogs we saved—safe, yes, but not the life we want for them. And the costs are staggering.

Still, we remain standing. We’re here because we’ve never stopped believing in the power of education and compassion. Our commitment to teaching dog behavior, to building confident human-canine bonds—that’s what’s kept us going. And now, we’ve been given a lifeline. A generous animal welfare organization has offered to match all donations up to $20,000. That means every dollar you give will go twice as far toward paying off our most urgent expenses and giving these dogs the care they deserve.

We need your help. Please consider donating—every bit counts. And if you can’t give financially, maybe you can open your home to a foster pup. Together, we can turn this around.

Because giving up is not an option. Not for them.
