250+ VOLUNTEERS --- 350+ ESSENTIAL DELIVERIES --- THANK YOU!

We have spent $16,207 and are currently spending $1,456 per week- even as we use local food pantry resources and buy in bulk. We are also ramping up essential mask production, and need money to buy fabric. With only $2,038 in the bank, we need your help!

New York City is hit hard by the pandemic, and people with disabilities and the elderly are really hurting. It is especially hard --- and especially dangerous – for them to go out and shop for what they desperately need. They tell us that they do not feel safe. They tell us that their food stamps and social security payments are simply not enough. They asked for someone to help them. That’s us. That’s you, too.

This is what we do. Through social workers, independent living centers, and our website, we are connected to a person who urgently needs help and we take their shopping list and buy as much as we can. Then we carefully pack and safely deliver food, cleaning supplies – even medicine – right to their door. Then the process starts again. And again. And again.

Sometimes, the recipient can pay for the goods, but that is the exception. We buy as much as we can afford. Your donation will mean we can give more vulnerable people the supplies they desperately need.

Who are we? We’re pretty much like you, I bet. The pandemic is serious, and it scares us, but over all that is knowing We Are in This Together. We got together more than a year ago to volunteer for the Bernie Sanders campaign for President. When the pandemic hit, we shifted our campaign work to providing mutual aid for needy neighbors.

Our approach is working! We have already made over 250 deliveries and more and more volunteers are signing on to help and to donate. Frankly, we’re running out of money. We need you to donate whatever you can to help us continue our work. Every dollar will provide essential food, cleaning products, and medical supplies to those most in need.
