Veteran Treatment Court - Crisis and Stabilization Group

Wounded Healer Project's first program serves justice involved veterans in Veteran Treatment Court. Our team identified  a critical gap in care for these veterans as many would be court mandated to attend therapy but have to wait 30+ days to get care. In the mean time, many veterans were in crisis and struggling to manage pre-existing behavioral health issues such as substance use, moral injury, and more.

The Veteran Treatment Court- Crisis and Stabilization Group (VTC-CSG) is a 2 hour group therapy offered to veterans completely free of charge as they wait for their community mental health placements. A unique aspect of this therapy group is that it is facilitated by mental health providers who are also veterans themselves. Our guiding principle at Wounded Healer Project is to "go back and get the others." We will not leave any veteran behind.

Our funding goal is to raise our first $10,000 to help fund this program and bring more veteran mental health providers in to meet the needs of our brothers and sisters in arms.
