Giving Tuesday launches today, Friends, and the timing could not be more perfect.
Soaring Spirits has expanded our online programs this year to meet the ever growing needs of our community, which unfortunately has seen a large increase this year. Since March we have accomplished the following:
- Soaring Spirits is serving a group of over 50 people whose loved ones died due to COVID-19.
- We’ve launched an entirely new version of our Widowed Village online forum to facilitate connection and resource sharing for our widowed community.
- In March, we adapted Camp Widow Tampa from an in-person weekend to a fully virtual event in just nine days!
- Last week we welcomed over two hundred widowed people (from five different countries!) to our second edition of Camp Widow Virtual.
- Our Regional Groups are regularly holding Zoom meetings that are welcoming widowed people from around the world.
- The Soaring Spirits office has delivered more Newly Widowed Packets this year than ever before--sometimes as many as 100 per week.
- Soaring Spirits is supporting our widowed community through the year-end holiday season by offering a free 18 week program called the Festival of Hope.
These are just a few of the ways our programs have expanded this year, and we need your help. Every dollar is matched today up to $10,000!
