Season of Belonging — A Wild Oak Haven Holiday Celebration!

This holiday season, Wild Oak Haven is launching A Season of Belonging to bring joy, connection, and unforgettable experiences to the foster children, families, and young adults we serve. For so many in our community, the holidays can be a challenging time—especially for those who have experienced instability or separation. Our hope is to create moments of pure joy that remind them they are seen, valued, and deeply loved.

We've pulled together a list of activities for our foster children, families and aged out foster youth - From Holiday Lights at the Virginia Beach Boardwalk to cooking classes to a trip to Busch Gardens. These activities aren’t just outings—they’re invitations for connection, confidence, and belonging. We want to bless our families beyond what they ever imagined this season… and we need your help to make it happen!

To fulfill every activity for our Season of Belonging our goal is to raise $1,560 this holiday season!

Thanks to a generous donor, 100% of every holiday gift you give will go directly to the children, families, and young adults.

ABOUT WILD OAK HAVEN:

The mission of Wild Oak Haven is to share the love of Christ by walking alongside foster families and youth through every stage of life. We aim to break down barriers, provide essential resources, and support local social workers in their mission to care for these children.

We serve through three core programs:

• The Village – A supportive community for foster, adoptive, and kinship families, providing encouragement, resources, and practical assistance.
• Don’t Go Alone – A mentorship program for youth who have “aged out” of foster care, offering Christian guidance and life skills support as they transition into adulthood.
• Bridge Builders – A program that equips and educates the local community on how to effectively serve those impacted by foster care through training and outreach.
