The Center for Common Ground has been a driving force in mobilizing Black voters in Southern states, and we're proud to announce a new partnership that will amplify our efforts to protect democracy.

For this Joint Fundraiser we are partnering with The Tim Carpenter Institute, named after one of my mentors. The Tim Carpenter Institute studies the distribution of economic and political power in society, and strategies for building more equitable and democratic societies. The Carpenter Institute is committed to making all of its findings available, and understandable, to the broad public.

Their Voters Calendar/Democracy Defenders project is designed to alert the American public to changes in voting rules and regulations, and also to disseminate studies from America and around the world about ways to strengthen democracy in the 21st Century.

Together we expand our outreach from primarily the Southeast to the Midwest and beyond.

Here's what your support will help us achieve:

Mobilize Black voters in Virginia for the 2025 statewide election; there are now 934,000 registered Black voters
Mobilize working-class voters in key battleground states
Challenge voter suppression laws and tactics
Build a strong and lasting grassroots movement that will drive progressive change
Build and deploy 21st century Integrated Election Management Platform

- Online Poll Watching system with polling wait time reporting
- Integrated canvass team chat; integrated poll watcher team chat
- Emergency live video reporting
