Location: Guardian Games in Southeast Portland. Guardian is a premier destination for game enthusiasts in Portland, with a large space, knowledgeable staff, and great location. We will be hosted by the awesome Alex Hart, of Might I Suggest a Game. Guardian has snacks and beverages available for purchase. Check-In will be from 12:30-1:00PM, with the first round beginning after a short welcome and judge announcements. Pre-registration is HIGHLY recommended, as there is a limited number of spots available in the tournament. BRING A COPY DEAL: We will need several copies of the Wingspan Base Game to run the tournament. The first 8 people to commit to bringing a game will get a FREE entry into the Raffle! Tournament Structure Generally, we will be following the Wingspan Procedures from the World Series of Board Games. However, the stakes are obviously lower in this casual charity event and we encourage players to support each other, especially new players, with clean, friendly play. Two rounds of four person games with the base game. Players will be randomly assigned to tables. Rounds have a 60 minute time limit. When time is reached, each player will have one more action cube to play before the game is scored. The final round may need to be called early if required by the venue. Scores from both rounds will be added together, and the highest score will be declared the winner! Raffle winners DO NOT need to be present to win, prizes will be shipped following the event if needed.
