Since PODER of Idaho’s founding in 2018, our team has engaged over 10,000 people across the state through civic education initiatives. From registering thousands of Idahoans to vote through the Latino Votes Program, to advocating for an end to gender violence with the Sana Hermana Project (Healthy Sister), to providing bilingual, bicultural education on economic and health programs, PODER of Idaho proactively champions pro-immigrant social change in Idaho.

We uplift movements through storytelling and cultural practice. One tradition specific to the organizers with Mexican roots are "Posadas." Traditionally, "Posadas" are a religious reenactment of seeking asylum and being denied, until you are finally welcomed in. PODER's Posadas blends what is now a cultural tradition with the modern echos we're experiencing today as immigrants and refugees in the United States. We hope to bring our community partners together through the sharing of our culture, message, and experiencing some joy, together, during the holiday season.

The community is invited to the first annual Posadas with PODER on December 19th, from 6PM - 8PM at the Bishop’s House, and join many Ada and Canyon county professionals, students, business owners, and community leaders in attendance to enjoy the program, foods, drinks, and other goods provided by our generous and supportive donors.
