The JROTC Wolf Battalion at Plano West, Jasper, and Shepton High Schools has made a lasting impact on the lives of countless cadets. Through hands-on STEM programs, leadership training, and team competitions, cadets gain essential skills in discipline, problem-solving, and collaboration—skills that prepare them for success in higher education and future careers.

But right now, this program is at a critical crossroad.

Due to declining enrollment, the Battalion is on probation and with that comes a devastating wake-up call: Increase your numbers or risk permanent closure. This has led to the loss of our Gold Star status—a prestigious recognition that sets our cadets apart and offers advantages in college admissions and scholarships. While regaining this distinction is important, our primary focus is ensuring the program’s future by attracting more cadets and continuing to provide them with the life-changing opportunities they deserve.
