As we move into this 80th year of The Wolfe Studio, The Legacy is calling together the community of people who have become part of the Wolfe story - friends and colleagues, collectors and appreciators, past students and the many who have found a place on the land and in their spaces.

We are crafting a continuation of the spirit and legacy of the Wolfe family - a continuation that moves with Bebe and carries forward all the pieces of the story and the work that unfolds in the little Wolfe forest at 4308 Old Canton Road in Jackson, MS.

In this year we are celebrating the Studios 80th anniversary with public programs and exhibitions, completing research projects such as a Mississippi Humanities Council supported oral history project with Bebe and David and a study of Mildred's landscape paintings in relation with her Southern female contemporaries, and focusing in on the practical work of understanding and caring for the landscape and the buildings which house the creative production and meditation.

Your commitment to a recurring monthly contribution helps us to plan for major projects on our horizon such as contracting with biologists to catalogue the flora and fauna on the property, working with architects to create manuals for our buildings and organize maintenance priorities, and growing our ongoing archival organization and digitization project with our archive website unveiling in 2027.
