Every recovery journey begins with a story. Because when people are heard, recovery becomes possible.

For more than 60 years, Valley Cities Behavioral Health Care has been a leader in providing community-based behavioral health care services and substance use treatments that are informed by the lived experience of our diverse clients. That's why we are proud to join the global celebration of World Mental Health Day on Saturday, October 10, 2026. This year's theme "Lived experiences heard: Real Voices, Real Change" is dedicated to raising awareness of mental health issues and creating opportunities for people to listen to, learn from, and act upon the experiences of those most affected.

To recognize World Mental Health Day, we invite you to participate in Valley Cities Giving Day, a 24-hour opportunity to become an advocate for those, like Brian, facing mental health challenges, helping ensure their voices are heard and their experiences shape a better future. Because here, recovery isn't something we do for people. It's a journey we're honored to walk alongside them.
