Giving Tuesday is a day for radical generosity! As you reflect on ways to give this season, we invite you to consider supporting the I Am A Child of God Inc. Wynter Pitts Scholarship Fund.

Each year, through this scholarship, we honor the life and legacy of Wynter Pitts. Born and raised in Baltimore City, Wynter dedicated her life to empowering young girls and their families. In 2012, she founded the For Girls Like You Ministry, which includes a bi-monthly print magazine, journals, and other print and web resources.

Tragically, on the evening of Tuesday, July 24th, 2018, Wynter went home to be with the Lord. She was a devoted wife, mother of four girls, daughter, sister, cousin, and friend.

To honor her memory, the Wynter Pitts Scholarship is awarded to a high school senior young lady from Baltimore City or Baltimore County pursuing higher education. Our scholarship application opens in March 2026. This past year, we were honored to award $5,000 in scholarships, totaling $15,000 since the fund began. Our recent recipients are attending University of Maryland, Baltimore County and Hampton University.

Through your generosity, we can continue to impact the lives of our youth and keep Wynter’s legacy alive.
