Villages in Partnership and the people of Malawi have had a special place in my heart since 2017 when Jim & I first participated in one of VIP's Friendship Trips. The work VIP is doing in the villages they have partnered with is truly awe inspiring. We don't often see meaningful progress in our daily lives living in the US, but VIP is working with Malawians to do just that. It is astounding to me the change that VIP has helped bring to so many lives by providing access to clean water, helping implement methods to improve food security, making education accessible to more children, providing health care, improving infrastructure, and making tools for economic empowerment accessible to everyone.

I had the pleasure of returning to Malawi this past July to participate in VIP's first Women-to-Women Trip. This trip was extra special because, not only was I able to see the awesome progress VIP has empowered the villages to create, but I also spent the day with a Malawian sister who showed me the tremendous difference in her life because of VIP's partnership with her and her village.

Lydia is a single grandmother who is raising two grandchildren because their mother died of AIDS. Her life isn't easy, but it is so much better because she chose to implement several of the programs VIP has made available. Lydia is no longer just surviving, but thriving.

Giving to VIP all of these years is one of the simplest choices we make every year. Having served on the board for 3 years, I had a front row seat to see & hear the people who love VIP so much use their immense talents & faith to dream, guide, champion, create, and help make careful decisions that continue to move VIP to levels we are so proud of. We know every penny is used to help the people of Malawi because everyone that works for VIP in the US and in Malawi truly love VIP, Christ, and the people they serve.
