I am walking to feed the remote villages of Malawi now suffering through a crisis of drought and hunger. Funds raised in this year’s Water Walk will provide small irrigation systems so families can feed their children this season, large irrigation systems for farmers to feed communities for a lifetime, job opportunities, agricultural training, and hope to the more than 24,000 villagers in the 29 villages of Malawi's Zomba District served by VIP.
This is my fifth Water Walk since I began volunteering with Villages In Partnership in January 2020. I have been impressed with the impact VIP has made so far in Malawi's Zomba District, and with the respectful, collaborative model VIP uses to identify needs, set priorities, and plan and implement sustainable solutions in partnership with the villages.
Please help us save lives by contributing what you can in this critical moment.
