Rich Roots was established in 2024 by a family with a mission to spotlight the unique mental health challenges faced by historically disenfranchised and oppressed racial and ethnic groups in the United States. Recognizing the profound impact that mental health disparities have on these communities, Rich Roots seeks to bridge the gap between mental health need and access, particularly for Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC).

Grand Rising! Stand with Rich Roots in our mission to provide Mental Health services for everyone within our BIPOC community in Tacoma- Seattle area. Your donation, no matter the size, will directly support BIPOC communities and Youth Programming.

We are supporting BIPOC communities in Tacoma- Seattle with FREE mental health services and Youth with a 2,500 scholarship under the Rich Roots Foundation designed to support seniors with their future education. Everyone deserves a start especially our BIPOC youth!

Support Youth and Families

At Rich Roots we believe everyone deserves rights to healthcare, especially mental healthcare. We are here to support BIPOC communities with FREE mental health counseling services and supporting youth in the community by providing programs to support mental health needs and by giving out our Rich Roots Foundation Scholarship to seniors providing for their education.

How Your Donation Makes a Difference:

Youth Programs

Supporting our youth is crucial for our future generation. Your support ensures that young people in Tacoma- Seattle have access to education, mentorship, and empowerment opportunities. It is important for our BIPOC youth to develop social and emotional habits that are important for mental well-being. These include adopting healthy sleep patterns; exercising regularly; developing coping, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills; and learning to manage emotions.

Life Coaching:

One-on-one and group guidance for youth to set goals, build confidence, and navigate challenges.

Cultural Awareness Studies

Afro Enriched Studies: A Rich cultural awareness class that discusses the beautiful subcategories within the African Diaspora, (Gullah Geechee, Creole, Afro- Latino, and much more)
Financial Literacy: A program designed to teach BIPOC communities about the importance of financial literacy, freedom, and much more.

Youth Engagement & Mentorship:

Grounds to Crowns: This is an afterschool program designed to support BIPOC young men with life skills, brotherhood, and lessons about overcoming unique challenges to BIPOC communities.

Demure Queens: Motivational Program to support BIPOC young women to regulate healthy emotions, having discussions about mental health challenges/ overcoming them.

Support & Resources for BIPOC Mental Health

Your contributions directly fund our efforts to foster a culture of mental health awareness in BIPOC communities.

Emergency Services: Immediate help such mental health resources, wrap around services, and much more.
