Every month, Slate Valley Cares serves over 1,000 households, reaching more than 2,000 individuals facing food insecurity. Open 31 hours a week, our services are three times more accessible than the largest charity food distributor in Rutland County.

Many don’t realize, we purchase 95% of the food we provide. With rising food costs and levels of need, we anticipate spending over $60,000 this year on food alone.

This investment is about more than just feeding people. It is about cultivating a community where everyone has reliable access to food and a sense of community care.
