My college volleyball coach was a huge role model in my life. Not only did I get the opportunity to play for her, but I also got to coach alongside her for three years before she passed away from cancer. Throughout those years of coaching with her I was in awe of her strength and courage. Always positive and always with a smile, you never would have known what she was going through.

I’m doing this fundraiser in her honor. Providing support and spreading positivity is something Mary did often, and I can think of no better way to celebrate her than contributing to an organization that follows those same values.  

As a member of the Associate Board at Gilda’s, I’m thankful to be a part of such an amazing organization. Every donation helps to allow continued support, free of charge, to those battling cancer and their loved ones.
