VOTE-COPE is NYSUT's non-partisan political action fund. Voluntary contributions from NYSUT members support NYSUT-endorsed candidates & legislative campaigns. No NYSUT membership dues dollars are used to support these activities. This means that NYSUT political work is entirely funded through VOTE-COPE!

NYSUT returns up to 40% of the contributions VOTE-COPE receives to the local union. The ITA uses our VOTE-COPE funds to run our annual Board of Education campaign to elect BOE members who will work with and for us, our students, and their families.
