Each summer, families gather at pools, lakes, and beaches—believing they’re safe, that someone is watching. But the heartbreaking truth is that drowning is the #1 cause of death for children ages 1–4.

Our daughter Anna drowned just one week after her 4th birthday. This “one last quick swim” in the shallow end, surrounded by adults and lifeguards- changed our lives forever.

In her honor, we created the 4 ANNA Foundation to turn unimaginable heartbreak into life-saving action. Through education and awareness, we work every day to prevent drownings and protect families from experiencing this loss. Her loss on a seemingly safe family day out left us with a mission: to prevent childhood drownings by increasing awareness of water safety through

• 1) Knowing the dangers
• 2) Learning survival skills
• 3) Creating a safer environment around water

The pain of our experience drives us with unwavering determination to ensure that no other family endures such heartbreak. Every initiative, every program, and every partnership we forge is rooted in the belief that education can transform fear into preparedness, tragedy into prevention.
