Hey everyone! We’re The Passing Notes—Montclair’s only student-run high school a cappella group, and we’ve been singing together for over two decades!

Every year, we dedicate nearly 200 hours to rehearsing, refining our sound, and performing throughout Montclair and beyond. We’ve had some incredible opportunities, from winning Best Arrangement at the ICHSA Mid-Atlantic Quarterfinals to singing at the JED Gala in NYC, performing at two weddings, and singing at various community events.

As a completely nonprofit group, we fund everything ourselves—from transportation to gigs to competition fees and more. With 23 members, the costs add up quickly, and we need your support to keep going!

What We’re Fundraising For

We’re currently in the process of recording our 2024-25 album, something we can’t wait to share with our supporters. Beyond that, we’re also raising funds to ensure future generations of The Passing Notes have the resources to compete, record, and continue making great music.

How Your Donation Helps

$2,200 will cover the essential costs of recording, mixing, and producing our album.

$1,265 will cover the costs of the merch for our members to wear during performances and promote The Passing Notes.

Any additional contributions will help support our travel, competition expenses, and future projects.
