I am an immigrant from Cuba. I left my country when I was 11, we lived in Spain before coming to America. While many changes happened in my life, some good and some bad, I always used making art and telling stories as a way to soothe my fears and make me feel centered and whole. It is through resilience, grit, discipline, and self empowerment that we eventually thrive and get to help future generations do the same. Enjoy and trust who you are. If you are an immigrant, don’t let anyone make you feel, ever, that you don’t belong. You are a child of the universe. You are here to help and give you gifts and talents to the world. 💕
