Hope Starts With You
We Need Your Help.
In 2020, we stepped out on faith to meet a growing need in Cleveland.
Every afternoon, hundreds of children in Cleveland have nowhere safe to go after school. We often see libraries and streets filled with unsupervised kids — some as young as six. Many end up being removed from libraries by police, left to play near busy intersections and gas stations.
Many of our children experience bullying, violence in their communities and lack skills to navigate challenges they face at school.
So, we founded Inspire Hope as a 501(c)3 organization. We began with a one-hour, once-a-week social-emotional learning program in a small library on Cleveland’s east side.
Four kids came the first week. Then eight. Then twelve. By the end of the month, 15 children were crammed into a small library room. We ran out of chairs. Kids brought their own in — until we had to start turning them away.
In 2024, we were able to expand to serve over 100 children across Greater Cleveland. Teaching social skills, literacy, conflict resolution and mindfulness.
Every week, we hear the same questions from the kids:
"Can you come back tomorrow?"
"Why is this only on Thursdays?"
Now, we have a chance to say yes.
This fall we have expanded our programs to offer more days and hours to the children we serve, but we need your help. To be able to continue serving our children we need to provide scholarships for them to participate, supplies and meals.
Hope starts with you. Will you help us meet the need?
