(GWI) and the Brigantine Aquatic Center are pleased to announce our newly renamed program Stanley's Special Friends. The Stanley's Special Friends program encompasses all of the special needs swim and water safety programs that are funded by GWI.

The Stanley's Special Friends program is named after our good friend and Special Olympic swim team member Stanley Adams. Stanley's Special Friends will sponsor any child in Atlantic County with an Autism Spectrum Disorder, ages 3 to 16. This sponsorship entitles the child to four free water safety and swimming lessons. After the for free lessons each student can join the Stanley's Special Friends program. Many of the Stanley's Special Friends athletes have participated in the Greenheads swimming league dual and Championship swim meets and the Special Olympics of NJ Summer Games Series.
