We're thrilled to announce the Alborz Fundraiser Event, where we will come together to raise funds for repairs and upgrades needed by Burning Man 2023!

Join us as we reunite, energize, and officially kickoff the journey towards Burning Man 2023. Let's come together and make Alborz's transformation a reality.

As we gear up for the most exhilarating event of the year, we need your support to repair and upgrade Camp Alborz and the art car masterpiece.

Why do we need the funds?

We value every $ donated and will be transparent in this process so you are fully aware of the impact.

Specifically, we are making repairs and upgrades to two areas:

REPAIRS: $2,000

UPGRADES: $8,500

Please keep in mind that depending on the performance of our fundraising, there may be some reallocation of funds to different areas than the ones noted below. Regardless, this will all be communicated to our donors. Here are additional items that need attention:

Art Car Lighting improvements: LED Strips, Plexi, Lights, etc.
2x 9500 Watt SUPER QUIET Inverter Generator

REPAIRS:
ART CAR SOUND SYSTEM:
The parts that were damaged are in the compression drivers at the back of each main horn. There are 3 per side, so 6 total. Each of them has a high frequency diaphragm, a mid frequency diaphragm, and a crossover.
The bad news is - we blew all of them.
The good news is - we have been in contact with our sales reps and it looks like the parts are available here in the US.

There is roughly $20,000 in amps and DSP in the art car system. Since playa dust is alkaline it will corrode the electronics. If left un-checked it will break down the system pretty quickly. We have contact with a specialist in California who cleans gear from the burn. He charges $50 - $60 per piece + shipping.

UPGRADES:
DAMAVAND TENT:
This tent has been a core ingredient of the Alborz experience. It has provided us with shelter when we needed it the most, and it's been home to some of our most memorable celebrations. However, the original tent is now in a deteriorated state - and we are going into 2023 with a bigger emphasis on making Damavand tent a staple.

This fundraiser event is not only an opportunity to contribute to Alborz's transformation; it's a chance for everyone to reunite, rekindle old friendships, and ignite the excitement for this year's Burning Man adventure.
