Power shapes every aspect of our lives—who has it, how it moves, and how it is taken or reclaimed. To work toward collective liberation, we must first understand power itself: What is power? Who holds it? How do we recognize and claim our own?

This 2.5-hour workshop is an invitation to explore power on both systemic and personal levels. Through writing, reflection, and group discussion, we will:

Define Power – What does power mean beyond domination? How do we recognize it in ourselves and in the world around us?
Unpack Systems of Power – Who benefits from existing power structures, and who is marginalized by them?
Identify Our Own Power – How do our experiences of privilege and oppression shape our ability to resist, organize, and dream of new possibilities?
Envision Liberatory Power – What does Utopia feel like? What kind of power do we want to cultivate, and how do we build it collectively?
By understanding the ways power operates—both in oppression and in resistance—we can step into our roles with clarity, intention, and agency.
