My name is Tracey Stephens, the writer of a new musical play entitled *Always A First Lady." A TRUE STORY about a female comedian working in a male-dominated political comedy troupe over the past twenty years. The story follows the on and off stage antics of a young girl struggling to bring fairness to the political comedy world, men have controlled for ages. Fighting for women's rights, one musical parody at a time.

I've been working on this story for many years, with re-writes, table reads, zoom readings a staged reading. And now, just 48hr after the past US Election, I am pushing even harder!!!! This story MUST come to light and I am now embarking on the toughest task ahead, a Developmental Workshop. Which includes 1-2 week rehearsal period with 2-3 performances.

If this past US election has told you anything, it's that the struggle women face everyday is REAL. And as much as I want to hide away from it all and hope it will all go away, I can't. I. MUST.
