Thank you for visiting my Y Giving Day fundraising page. I am raising funds to support Food Access at the Y. This project will provide vital operational support to the Y’s Food Access program, which includes the Y’s Youth Food Program, Mobile Market food pantry, and Y on the Fly. The Youth Food Program operates year-round, serving meals and snacks to kids at 16-25 sites throughout the community both during school-time and in the summer. The Mobile Market Food Pantry offers weekly meal boxes for 100 families identified by the Y’s Community Health Workers and Youth Center Staff. These boxes include dinner and breakfast items, recipes for the ingredients included, mental health tips, as well as hygiene and household cleaning items. Y on the Fly provides food, Y programming, mental health information, mobile internet, and more by bringing the Y out into the community. This project is important to me because it directly impacts the children that I work with on a daily basis. I hope you will join me in support of feeding kids and families in our community!
