Wild Oak is having our first Bounce for Books Read-A-Thon Fundraiser!
This event encourages students to develop a love of reading while raising funds to
support their school community. 100% of funds raised will support Wild Oak programs.

Here’s how it works:

1. Students read every day during the Read-a-Thon dates, both at school and at
home.
2. Family and friends sponsor students by pledging either a flat donation or a 10
cents per minute pledge. Sponsors can elect to for a higher rate for minute as they are willing and able.
3. Students track their reading on the Reading Log and confirm with parents initials.
4. Students reconnect with sponsors to collect pledges which can be paid via cash, check paid to WOIS, or the Bounce For Books social media campaign.

Schoolwide Goals:
● Each student reads at least an average of 20 minutes daily! Audio books do not
count towards reading goals, however family read-alouds with pre-readers or
early readers do count!
● 100% participation- we can do this!!!
● $5000.00 collectively raised for Wild Oak
● Gain awareness and support of Wild Oak though sharing our school to
community supporters
● Boost confidence in reading by having “Mystery Readers” read to Seedling
Program throughout the read-a-thon.
